Bring me the mess.

Operations, logistics + communications advisory for founders and teams.

You don’t need to arrive with the problem neatly diagnosed.

Maybe the business has grown faster than the way it operates. Maybe everything still comes back to you. Maybe there’s a project, launch or change with a lot of moving parts and nobody quite has their arms around the whole thing.

Or maybe you just know something feels harder than it should.

That’s enough.

I help make sense of what’s actually happening, work out where the friction, risk or confusion sits, and turn it into something clearer, stronger and much more workable in the real world.

You might be in the right place if…

  • Your business is growing, but the way it runs hasn’t quite caught up.

  • You’re still the person who remembers everything, catches everything and answers every question.

  • There are important things that live in people’s heads because “we all just know how it works.”

  • A project or launch has twelve moving parts and no-one seems to own the whole picture.

  • Your team is communicating constantly, but decisions are still unclear.

  • You’re about to hire, expand, change direction, open something, close something or do something ambitious and you want to make sure it actually works.

  • You know there are vulnerabilities in the business you’ve been meaning to deal with.

… Or something has already gone sideways and you’d quite like not to learn that lesson twice.

This is the work.

I sit at the point where strategy has to survive contact with the real world: operations, logistics, communication, decision-making, risk, readiness and implementation.

Sometimes that means fixing one very specific thing.

Sometimes it means having me in the business for a few months while a lot is changing.

Sometimes it means giving me the project and letting me help make the thing work.

Ways to work with me

Quick Sharp Shoot

20 minutes. Free. Bring one messy thing.

This is not a disguised sales call where I spend 18 minutes asking about your goals and two minutes telling you about my package.

Bring me something.

A bottleneck. A decision you keep circling. A project that feels unnecessarily complicated. Something your team keeps tripping over. A part of the business that relies far too heavily on you.

We’ll sharp shoot it together, work out what I can see from the outside and identify where I’d start.

You might leave knowing exactly what to do next.

Or we might realise there’s a bigger piece of work worth getting into properly.

Either outcome is useful.

Fractional COO

Senior operational leadership, without the full-time hire.

There comes a point where a growing business can’t keep running through the founder.

More people join. More projects are underway. Decisions start stacking up. Everyone is busy, but ownership gets blurry, communication gets harder and the founder becomes the person holding the whole thing together.

That’s where I come in.

As a Fractional COO, I work alongside founders and leadership teams to bring structure, clarity and momentum to the operational side of the business. I get across how the business actually works — the people, priorities, projects, systems, communication, risks and moving parts, and help build the operating rhythm needed for the next stage of growth.

Depending on the business, that might mean clarifying roles and accountability, establishing leadership and planning rhythms, improving internal communication, overseeing priority projects, strengthening systems and processes, supporting hiring and team structure, or simply making sure the things everyone keeps talking about actually get done.

This isn’t outsourced admin or another layer of management for the sake of it. It’s experienced operational leadership for businesses that need someone at the table thinking across the whole picture.

Best suited to: founder-led businesses with an established team, real momentum and increasing operational complexity, but not yet the need , or appetite, for a full-time COO.

Fractional COO engagements are selective and tailored to the business.

Operational Advisory

Projects + Implementation

I help you make the change happen.

There are times when the best use of me isn’t sitting across from you on Zoom every fortnight.

It’s bringing me into a defined piece of work.

That might be designing the operational approach for a new service, launch or initiative. Getting a complicated project out of strategy-land and into an actual plan. Reviewing business continuity and operational vulnerabilities. Developing communications, decision-making or escalation arrangements. Pulling multiple teams and stakeholders into one workable approach. Planning the operational side of an event or experience. Or turning something that currently exists as a good idea into something people can genuinely execute.

I’m not there to become another pair of hands updating task lists.

I’m there when the work needs someone who can see the whole picture, organise complexity, ask the uncomfortable questions and make sure the moving pieces actually connect.

Projects are scoped and quoted individually.

Workshops + Education

Good rooms change things.

Practical operational thinking for founders, leaders and teams.

MDCO workshops, masterclasses and courses turn real-world operational experience into practical tools people can use straight away.

Topics include operational leadership, team performance, decision-making, communication, hiring, founder dependency, business continuity, crisis communication and turning strategy into execution.

Sessions can be delivered privately for organisations or offered publicly as masterclasses, courses and resources.

No bloated frameworks. No workshop that sounds good in the room and changes nothing afterwards.

The aim is simple: help people think, communicate and operate better.

Coming soon, stay tuned.
